How to Submit Blogger Sitemap to Google Webmasters Tools?

'Google Webmasters Tools' is a tool, introduced by google and it helps webmasters to have controll of their websites and blogs in google search. There you can find a lot of tools to get ranked on google in the most familiar way.

After adding your blog to search console, you will have to verify your blog ownership. Its highly recommended to Submit a Sitemap to Google Webmasters Tools after adding your blogger blog there. Sitemap is a file (.xml) that tells google about your published content. Whenever you publish a post, it crawls and index it to the search engine automatically.

My today's post is all about how to generate a sitemap file for your blogger blog and submit it to Google Webmasters Tools succesfully.

Below are the simple steps to do it. Follow the each and every step carefully. As always, screenshots are given for better understanding.

How to Generate a Blogger Sitemap and Submit it to Google?


  • First of all, Go to Google Webmasters tools.
  • Now, Select Your Particular Blog.
  • After that, Click on Crawl > Sitemaps From the Left Sidebar.

  • Now, From the Top-Right Side Corner, Select Add/Test Sitemap.

  • After that, You Have to Give Sitemap Link in the Blank Box there. (see screenshot)

  • Now, Copy the Below Text and Paste there as it is.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500


  • Finally, Click on & Refresh it After Submitting. Thats all. You are done.

Above mentioned sitemap is only for those blogs which have less than 500 blog posts.
For the blogs having more than 500 blog posts, use the below text as sitemap.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
